The new TT factory is designed to gradually replace obsolete industrial facilities, adapting this historic site to the technological changes that characterize today’s world textile production sector. The image of the new factory wants to express this transition by putting forward the openness of this family business, founded in 1840, to new global dynamics while considering the strength of its tradition.

On the production facilities side, the use of precast concrete panels, dyed in the mass, is widespread throughout the building envelope. They are textured in a pattern which reminds that of the fabrics that are produced in the factory. This subtle intervention creates a play of lights and shadows which modulate the surface of the exterior walls. The envelope of the administrative sector is reshaped using perforated metal panels with a digital cutter according a plant motif. These panels are fixed detached from the plan of the facade which gives a new perception of the wall.

Particular attention is paid to the treatment of the outdoor spaces which separate the factory from the administrative sector. The use of resin modules filled with soil and grass makes this large area accessible to heavy vehicles, while giving it the character of a large green meadow at the heart of the industrial complex.
